It's not too early to start thinking about a leadership position with GLARIN. You may nominate yourself or a peer to serve in a variety of positions ranging from one to two years in length.
This can be viewed as a professional opportunity but it is also provides the chance to be involved at the ground level of a dynamic and ever-evolving organization dedicated to the discipline of radiology health care. Not only does GLARIN cater to radiology nurses but the organization also recognizes the integral contributions of radiology technologists as well as other allied health professionals.
As mentioned previously, there are a variety of positions within GLARIN but they all require:
A minimum one-year commitment
Membership to GLARIN and ARIN
Monthly leadership meetings (usually held virtually)
Unreimbursed Travel to some not so exotic places
Potential for speaking at conferences
Sharing of information and resources
Collaboration across state lines
Networking with vendors
Recruiting new members
Serving on committees
Fundraising
We realize that this may seem like a lot but the experience is definitely worth it as we know that there are many gifted and talented nurses and technologists that could contribute to the ongoing success of GLARIN. Should you have any questions please contact any of the leadership team as we will be more than happy to answer your questions.
